Radimova Street in Prague’s Břevnov district is a winding residential street ascending from the busy Patočkova street and culminating at Na Petřinách.

Near Patočkova, at the foot of the hill, you’ll find Kolej Kajetánka K1, a student residence center. The architecture along Radimova Street is eclectic, showcasing Baroque and prefabricated “paneláky” buildings from the communist era, and contemporary terraced condominiums. Charming streets lined with attached homes featuring red-pitched roofs can be found nestled above the hill; stairs or a zigzag walkway provide access.

This quiet area in Radimova is home to Zen Espresso Bar. Husband and wife Jan and Zuzana Kral are the proprietors of this serene spot. Missing their old neighborhood in which they grew up and wanting to give back to the community, they opened Zen Espresso Bar in December 2022.

As parents of a three-year-old, they understand the needs of families and have made Zen Espresso Bar a haven for parents and children. Lots of strollers are present, and small children are constantly engaged in play on the big window seats or reading books from the little red rolling bookshelf. Outdoor seating is available during the warmer part of the year.

After enjoying your coffee, you’ll be pleased to discover Břevnov Monastery and its park, orchards, and pond are just a five-minute stroll away.

Neighbors, locals, and students alike gather at Zen Espresso Bar, a community hub offering locally roasted coffee from BeBerry, which prioritizes small farmers and sustainable ocean transport. Featuring a minimalist design and plenty of plants, it’s the perfect spot to relax, watch the kids, and savor delicious coffee.
