“Late Night Thoughts,” as with “700 Words,” takes a bow from my newspaper days. Back then I had a bi-weekly sports column called “Ring the Bell.” It was short quips, a forerunner to today’s twitter feed, on events of the past two weeks.

With “Late Night Thoughts,” I continue the tradition of commenting on current events in the sporting world. However, occasionally I will expand the column and my horizons with a broken field run into politics, science, education, art, literature, and whatever tickles my fancy.
